As Carson Valley has grown and changed immensely over the past 150 years, some of its historic sites remain and you can visit them. Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park is one of these sites, and you'll find it down a winding dirt path off Highway 88. The Dangberg family founded Minden in 1905, established many of the town's first businesses and was on the forefront of Carson Valley's ranching industry. Four generations of the Dangberg family lived at this ranch, a collection of eight buildings constructed between 1857 and 1917 and including the Dangberg residence and several outbuildings. Schedule a private guided tour of the ranch house and discover the history of this scenic location, or reserve the grounds for a private event or wedding. Dangberg Home Ranch also hosts many events and festivals throughout the year.
