Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) is a multifaceted, nonprofit organization dedicated to all things arts and culture in Douglas County. CVAC partners with schools, businesses and artists in the Minden/Gardnerville communities to promote the thriving collection of artists in the area and bring their work to the public. Within its physical location in the former Copeland Lumber building right on Highway 395, CVAC has a small gallery full of paintings and photos from local artists. It also has a performance area and meeting space and is responsible for putting on popular Carson Valley events like its concert series in which it brings traveling musicians to town for evenings of live music. Check the CVAC calendar to see events related to performing and visual arts and check out the council's ever-changing art gallery.
