Just off Highway 88 next to Douglas High School is Carson Valley Swim Center (CVSC). This massive facility merges family-fun swimming with diving and other competitive water sports. CVSC has an eight-lane, 25-yard outdoor pool with views of the mountain peaks in the distance and a family outdoor pool as well. Inside there are more lanes for swimming, a heated therapy pool, diving boards, a water polo setup, various built-in water toys for kids and even two-story water slides. The facility also has a gym with exercise equipment, a rock-climbing wall and available-for-rent outdoor and indoor areas for private parties. CVSC's classes and programs include swim lessons, water aerobics, lifeguard training, scuba diving and the list goes on.
