The 1902 building that houses Overland Restaurant in the heart of old Gardnerville once served the Carson Valley's Basque sheepherders after a long day of tending the fields. The interior was completely renovated in 2015, with the old firehouse building now the pub. Overland uses locally sourced meats, pastas, breads and produce to create a unique menu that has a distinct smokehouse vibe and deep roots in Basque cuisine. Overland has a full-service pub with a happy hour every weekday. They serve brunch on the weekend and lunch and dinner every day.
