The Lone Mountain Cemetery offers a glimpse into the past of the American West. It is the resting place of many people originally interred in the Pioneer and Wright cemeteries, and it incorporates seven different cemeteries. The Lone Mountain Cemetery is 40 acres and contains sections for many different denominations, races and social groups from among the early residents of the area. History and genealogy buffs can explore the site from dawn to dusk every day of the week, and the office is open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
