The mission of the Pay it Forward Project is support volunteerism in our communities and our schools we offer ongoing encouragement to members of our communities and in our schools to make a positive difference through volunteerism and assisting others. We encourage everyone to volunteer a minimum of 2 hours a month to your community which is not much however it makes a big difference. This builds positive relationships in your community. We currently honor members of the communities as well as students in Carson City, Gardnerville and South Lake Tahoe. We provide Spirit of the Community Awards for students that are making a positive difference in the communities they live. Which includes Scholarship funds to assist with their future education. We also support local service clubs and or student service clubs with grants to support volunteer projects.. We started with scholarships in 2015 in South Lake Tahoe and expanded to additional schools each year to include Scholarships are provided at Carson High School, Western Nevada College, Douglas High School, South Tahoe High School and Lake Tahoe Community College. In 2026 we replaces student scholarships with student Spirit of the Community awards to students who make a positive difference in their community and in our local schools.
