Everything Nevada, Your Camping Guide to Summer 2018

Do you smell that? That’s the smell of sweet summer in Nevada.

Now that the biggest camping kick-off weekend of the year is out of the way, it’s time to plan for more campfires and wilderness! Northern Nevada is known for its rural beauty and what better way to take advantage of it than with tents (or RVs if you’re a glamper), sunshine and burnt marshmallows.

This is your guide to camping in and around Northern Nevada with all of the information you need to know before hitting the road. Don’t forget your bug spray and tree hammocks, camping won’t be the same without them.

Now that you know where you’re going to camp (if you were able to make a decision with so many excellent choices), it’s time to pack the essentials for your trip! Here you will find your guide to everything you're not allowed to forget. Seriously, use this checklist.  


EXPERT CAMPER CHECKLIST:

Bug Spray (can’t emphasize this one enough).

Tent (duh).

Sleeping Bags.

Air Mattress (if you’re boujee).

A Good Book.

Hammock (if you enjoy relaxation).

Hiking Boots (if you don't enjoy relaxation). 

Flashlight.

Food (if you like to eat).

Utensils (to eat the food). Also plates.

Fishing Gear. 

Toothbrush (please don’t forget this one).  

S’mores Kit.

Water (we’ll say it again for the people in the back. WATER).

Chapstick (nobody likes cracked lips).

Pillows.

Sunglasses.

Sunscreen (if you want to enjoy the rest of your trip).

Aloe (if you don't feel like listening). 

Towels.

Soap (please?).

Toilet Paper (you’re very, very welcome).

Your Fur Babies. 

Your Human Babies (if you have those). 

Socks.

Your Favorite Adult Beverage(s).

A Positive Attitude.

Gas in Your Car.  


One last thing before we send you off into the wild! Did you know there is a Nevada State Parks Passport? Yeah, you heard that right. You can get tons of information in the passport about parks throughout Nevada and keep track of where you’ve been. This is perfect for your summer bucket list.
