For 150 years, FUMC has participated in the “boom and bust” cycles of Carson City and has endured and grown. Our church family has always had a focus of outreach and social concern for the needs of the people throughout the community. In the Methodist tradition, we have sought to be inclusive and welcomed people from diverse class and cultural backgrounds as well as varied doctrinal traditions. In this spirit we have adopted the Motto; “OPEN HEARTS, OPEN MINDS, AND OPEN DOORS!”
