!CARSON Presentation & Training on Carson City's New Emergency Notification System
Event Description:
Join us for a presentation and training with Carson City Deputy Emergency Manager, Jon Bakkedahl, about Carson City’s new emergency notification system in the Computer Lab of the Carson City Senior Center. The !CARSON messages are non-emergency notifications to notify the public road closures, major road construction with detours and closures, Red Flag Warnings, with plans to expand to include emergency alerts like evacuations, flood warnings and hazardous materials. Learn how this system can keep Carson City residents informed.
Assistance with enrollment will be available. Please bring tablets or other smart devices. Computers will be available for enrollment. RSVP is not necessary. For more information, call (775) 883-0703.
