Event Description:
Halloween was made for Virginia City. Come early and explore the historic downtown, where wooden boardwalks, Victorian buildings and more than a century of ghost stories set the scene for special events and plenty of spooky fun.
When darkness falls, climb aboard the historic Virginia & Truckee Railroad for a 40-minute journey through the darkened Comstock toward the Gold Hill Graveyard — and a chilling encounter with the Executioner. Restless souls emerge from the shadows as old mines take on an entirely different character after dark. It’s Halloween thrills, haunted history and just enough fright to keep you looking over your shoulder.
Come for the train. Stay for Virginia City. Make a night of Halloween on the Comstock.
