About Our Soirées

A soirée, from the French term for "evening," traditionally signifies an elegant evening gathering. The Tahoe Symphony hosts its own version of soirées, typically in the mid to late afternoon for convenience. These gatherings celebrate vocal and instrumental music, continuing a tradition that spans centuries.

Our soirées, held in private homes or clubs, accommodate twenty to forty guests who enjoy light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres. While more casual than traditional evening soirées, they offer a unique charm without the need for formal attire.

These events feature solos and duets by Tahoe Symphony musicians and typically highlight a soloist from our current concert series. For the audience, these soirées provide an intimate and exclusive musical experience filled with joyous conversation, good company and the opportunity to become a part of our legacy.
