Spring Cleaning in the Perennial Garden
In the next class of our Foothill Garden Education Series we will discuss how to care for the perennial plants in our gardens this spring. We’ve let the dead tops of perennials remain through winter to provide habitat and forage for insects and other critters, but now how do we know when to remove these, and what is the correct way to prune our plants to ensure abundant new growth? We will go over all of this in this class so you will leave feeling confident to properly care for your perennials!
Classes are free and open to the public. Weather permitting, classes will be held outdoors at the Foothill Garden located behind the CTH Cancer Resource Center (1535 Medical Parkway). Seating is somewhat limited and format is casual; please feel free to bring chairs and/or lunch/snacks for yourself. Classes are one hour long.
