Champions of Children: Defenders of Families Award Dinner
The Champions of Children Defenders of Families Award Dinner is a fundraiser benefitting Ron Wood Family Resource Center. The evening dedicated to honoring local heroes will be at Carson City’s Casino Fandango. At this event you will enjoy a dinner and a special program featuring nationally-recognized comedian Kat Simmons. Simmons is a 39-year veteran of the international comedy circuit. Known for her relatable humor and engaging storytelling, Simmons brings laughter that connects and uplifts audiences of all ages.
Founded in 1995, Ron Wood Family Resource Center serves Carson City, Douglas County, Lyon County and surrounding rural communities. The center provides support to families in crisis. All proceeds directly support critical services for abused and neglected children. Contributions are tax-deductible and directly fund programs serving families and children in need.
