This Event has no scheduled dates at this time. It last occurred on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Nevada State Railroad Museum, Goldfield: The World’s Greatest Gold Camp
Event Description:

Join Nevada writer, photographer and silversmith, Sydney Martinez, in conversation with Nevada State Railroad Museum Curator of Education, Adam Michalski, for a lively afternoon of discussion about Goldfield: The World’s Greatest Gold Camp

From the Ghouls of the Night, to the rail lines that brought tens of thousands of people to one of the most sensational mining camps in the West, to the stories of the lives of the socialites, prospectors, the West’s wealthiest bankers, businessmen and gunslingers who all shared the same sidewalks, there’s no place else in the West (or the world!) like Goldfield. As Sydney and Adam chat all things Goldfield (and the locomotive histories that run right through it), watch along as Sydney makes a sterling silver chalcedony pendant she pried from Goldfield’s Gemfield rockhounding site.

For more information about Sydney Martinez, her silversmithing business Song Dog Silver, her “Legends of Lost Nevada” blog and podcast, and videos from her YouTube channel where she makes Nevada turquoise while talking about Nevada histories out in Nevada, visit FindingNevadaWild.com
