Demonstrations of Coin Press No. 1 in the historic Carson City Mint happen every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On minting days, visitors may purchase a .999 fine silver planchet and watch it be struck on Coin Press No. 1. While you wait for your newly minted Medallion, listen to knowledgeable docents give a detailed history of the press and the Carson City Mint.
