Spring Into Adventure
Join the Nevada State Museum, Carson City, on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in celebrating the arrival of Spring with a host of family-friendly activities.
Local authors will be on hand to talk literature and sign their books.
Visitors can also browse local artisan vendors set up outside in Loftin Park and engage in fun, interactive arts and crafts activities.
“Becoming familiar with the authors in our community and their books is itself a great adventure,” said Nevada State Museum Store Manager Cayce Weislow. “So is celebrating the return of Spring in Nevada!”
The day includes a special story time reading of Good Night Tahoe by children’s book author Kevin Sullivan. Inside the old Mint building, Coin Press No. 1 will be minting commemorative medallions bearing the famous “CC” mint mark, too!
CandyBurger food truck is providing delicious fare on site that’s sure to put a spring into every adventurer’s step.
Admission to the museum is $10 per adult and free for members and children 17 and under. The Nevada State Museum is located at 600 N. Carson Street in Carson City and is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
