Annual Liberty Bell Ringing Ceremony

Nevada State Museum, Annual Liberty Bell Ringing Ceremony
Event Description:

Join the Sons of the American Revolution in celebrating 250 years of Freedom!

On July 4th, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., the Battle Born Patriots Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), will host the annual Liberty Bell Ringing ceremony at the Nevada State Museum, 600 N. Carson Street, in Carson City, NV.

This year marks the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, which proclaims our nation’s separation and independence from British rule, and which is an important moment in the “America’s 250th Anniversary” celebrations.

At the front entrance to the museum, the Liberty Bell will be rung 13 times in honor of the original 13 colonies, which will follow immediately after the reading of the Declaration of Independence by members of the SAR color guard.

Lori Bagwell, the mayor of Carson City, will be attending along with other state and local dignitaries to share in this important celebration.

All Americans are heir to the freedom and ideals guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.   So please join us for this patriotic celebration!

As an added attraction, the museum will be open that day as usual.
