18th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Celebration
It's that time of year again to celebrate the memory of those who walked ahead of us.
The Nevada State Museum is proud to present, in conjunction with the Brewery Arts Center, Visit Carson City, Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, and Western Nevada College, the 18th Annual Carson City Celebration of Dia de los Muertos!
Friday November 1st
Nevada State Museum - 600 N Carson St
5:00-7:00pm Presentation of Community Ofrenda’s in the Dema Guinn Concourse
-Join us for the presentation of ofrenda’s carefully prepared by community groups. Bring a memento to remember your loved one on our community ofrenda. Share in traditional treats and refreshments. Live guitar will also be provided by Milton Merlos
Brewery Arts Center - 449 W. King St.
6:00-7:30pm Chocolate and Spirit Pairing ($35/person, $30 for BAC members) Spirits Provided by the Bank Saloon!
Saturday November 2th
Nevada State Museum - 600 N Carson St
10:00am-3:00pm De de los Muertos Show
-Beginning at 10am join the Museum for traditional dancing and music acts. The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada with the Carson City School District will be offering bi-lingual story time with take away books (limited supplies). There will be a food truck, face painting, crafts produced with the CMNN. Special thank you to volunteers from Western Nevada College Latin Leadership Club, and the Nevada National Guard
