Award-winning watercolor painter Ronnie Rector will share her successful approach to painting watercolors with beautiful values. This class will help watercolorists get past the middle-value “oh, that’s pretty” painting phase and head for the “wow!” in your work. The Values class will focus on just that: Values; from saving your whites to going for the full dark. You will practice making various samples as Ronnie teaches you the importance of creating darks that make other areas of a painting “pop,” what paint colors make beautiful lively darks, how watercolors make the prettiest shadows, layering, glazing, negative painting vs. positive painting, and more.
