Celebrating a Legacy: Final Art Show & Sale of Patricia Holub's Paintings, Personal Art Collection
The Nevada Artists Association is honored to announce a final art show and sale featuring the remarkable works of Patricia “Pat” Holub, a beloved Carson City artist, mentor, and tireless advocate for the arts who passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, at the age of 101.
Pat Holub, a founding member of the Carson City Chapter of the Nevada Artists Association and Brewery Arts Center, was a prolific plein air artist whose work in watercolor, oils and mixed media captured the natural beauty and historical essence of Nevada over five decades.
Her paintings of buildings and landscapes document scenes that have since disappeared or transformed, earning her statewide recognition, including the Nevada Artist of the Year Award in 2007 and the 2018 Woman of the Year for her contributions as a cultural benefactor. The annual “Pat Holub Award,” presented by the Nevada Artists Association since 2016, honors the years of service and dedication Pat gave to nurturing artistic talent.
In addition to Pat’s personal collection of paintings done by other renown Nevada artists, this exhibition showcases a curated selection of Pat’s paintings, reflecting her unique ability to blend vibrant landscapes with historical storytelling.
All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Nevada Artists Association and Brewery Arts Center to support the arts.
