Event Description:
Cabin Fever? Come join us for a free Winter Hike to Pinyon Trail in Carson Valley! This gently rolling 5.2 mile intermediate hike provides majestic views of Carson Valley, Job's Peak and the beautiful surrounding mountains.
Pinyon Trail was built by the Carson Valley Trails Association and is a "hidden gem" in the hills southeast of Gardnerville. Here is a link to the CVTA website where you can find further information about this and other CVTA trails as well as directions right to the trailhead at https://carsonvalleytrails.org/pinyon-trail/. If you wish to meet at the Pinyon Trail trailhead, please be there by 9:30 am.
To carpool to the trailhead, meet at 9:00 AM at the north end of the Target store parking lot on Jack's Valley Road.
Closed-toed shoes, snacks and water are required. Friends and friendly dogs are welcome and poles are recommended.
