Since 1952 Topaz Lodge has been an iconic fixture above the northwest shore of Topaz Lake, that other lake around here that is split by both states of Nevada and California. It is approximately 18 miles south of Gardnerville on U.S. Highway 395. Topaz Lake was formed in 1922 by damming the West Walker River that flows in and out of the lake. The 2,410-acre reservoir offers plenty of recreational opportunities including camping, world-class fishing, boating, water skiing, wakeboarding and Jet-Skiing out of the Topaz Marina. The lodge is a perfect headquarters for an activity-filled or relaxing stay with a casino, restaurants, lodging, an RV resort, a general store and a gas station.
Splendid views of the lake and surrounding Sweetwater Mountains are a predominant feature of most locations on the property. Lakeview Coffee Shop features your favorite breakfast, lunch and dinner comfort foods with beautiful views from every booth and table. Topaz Lodge Steakhouse is known for great steaks and fine casual dining in addition to panoramic lake views. A fun and relaxing gaming experience is to play video poker or keno at the large Lakeview Bar that also has terrific views. The friendly, old-fashioned casino floor has plenty of gaming action to offer with video slots, penny slots, video poker machines, Blackjack, live 21, three-card poker, live and video keno and bingo. There is the Club Topaz rewards program in which members can earn free play, gas, rooms and food. For younger guests, there is a large game room on the floor below the casino and down the hall from the steakhouse.
The property has ample outdoor parking to accommodate buses, trucks and RVs, as well as convenient parking for the disabled. The large facilities are very accessible with elevator access to all levels with wheelchair accessibility and a parking and drop-off point adjacent to both entrances.
