Sierra Motel is a classic, small, privately owned group of lodging units centrally located on U.S. Highway 395 in Gardnerville. The circa early 1950s property has a friendly, down-home cottage-type feel laid out in a horseshoe. King and queen units include cable TV with HBO, WiFi, in-room coffee and tea, a microwave and a refrigerator. Hair dryers, irons, ironing boards and alarm clocks are available upon request. All rooms are nonsmoking. There are separate cottages with kitchenettes and family units that can be rented by the week. Husband and wife managers live on property and provide friendly and efficient service. Advance reservations are required as the popular spot only has one or two units available at any given time.
