The Reese-Johnson-Virgin House has been referred to by locals as The Pink House for decades because of its rose color. Built in 1955, it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It has been witness to the events that shaped Carson Valley's history. The home has undergone many restorations. It has beautiful grounds beneath the Sierra Nevada peaks, a wraparound porch, Gothic Revival architecture and a preserved Western interior. It now operates as cheese and charcuterie shop and restaurant. Inside The Pink House's front door you'll find dining areas throughout a couple of rooms and a deli counter with a selection of specialty cheeses and meats. Plus, there are various types of wine, beer and spirits and many local gourmet food products for sale. Have a seat for lunch or dinner and enjoy a seasonal menu of cheese boards, soups, salads, artisan sandwiches and entrees (served in the evening). The Pink House is a perfect venue for weddings and other special events, and it will cater for on-site events.
