Genoa Lane, Genoa
River Fork Ranch is just east of Genoa. Within its 800-acre area it includes two trails: the 0.75-mile East Brockliss Loop and the 2-mile West Fork Trail. These trails are easily accessible and feature incredible views of the valley, with the West Fork Trail connecting Genoa Lane to Muller Lane. The ranch is currently part of a conservation program to preserve the area's wetlands and restore the habitat near the Carson River as well as preserve its meadows, cattle pastures and wildlife that includes bald eagles, leopard frogs and monarch butterflies. The trails are open to hikers, motorbikes and horseback riding, but leave the dogs at home.
