Carson Valley Inn (CVI) is a Minden/Gardnerville landmark and the valley's largest casino, lodging and entertainment property. CVI has been one of the most popular places to go in the area since 1984 and has continually expanded and added amenities to continue to attract tourists and serve a loyal local clientele. The rustic, lodge-themed property includes a large casino, 149 hotel rooms, a 74-room motor lodge, a 54-site RV resort, two renowned restaurants and a coffee and a snack shop. The property was purchased in 2010 by Mike Pegram and the Reno-based Carano family, who also own Bodines Casino in Carson City and Sharkey's Casino in Gardnerville. The new owners immediately began a major casino and restaurant remodeling project. Many improvements have been made while maintaining the atmosphere, charm and friendliness that were the cornerstones of the inn's earlier success and growth.
The expanded casino area features traditional pit table games, 600 slots and video machines, live poker and Sportsbook with pari-mutuel horse race betting. The Inn Club is a rewards program in which gamblers can earn points for comps and free play. Katie's Country Kitchen is a coffee shop that has a wide variety of stand-out and familiar menu items and specialties. CV Steak is a traditional Nevada-style steakhouse with a large menu and exceptional food and wine.
TJ's Corral is an outdoor entertainment venue that opened in 2014. It hosts name entertainment acts, such as The Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels Band, Kenny Loggins, The Spinners, Michael McDonald, Marshall Tucker Band and more. It has more than 1,500 cushioned theater-style seats and a raised grassy area for lawn seating. There is plenty of immediately adjacent parking. TJ's is a great new venue to enjoy a concert under the stars. There is also free live evening entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge featuring a variety of musical styles with a convenient dance floor.
CVI has long been known as a premier northern Nevada golf packager. They have all the connections and facilities to take care of small groups of 8 to 16 players and large tournament groups. They sponsor three golf events that they host annually. CVI has PGA professional Greg Enholm on their sales team to ensure that each golf event is professionally handled. Located just 20 miles east of Lake Tahoe, CVI is also an ideal headquarters for winter activities and summer on the lake.
