The Nevada Artists Association is a nonprofit organization formed in 1950 by artists and patrons to develop and encourage a high standard of art as well as to inspire and support artists in their continuing education. The nonprofit operates the Nevada Artists Association Gallery at the Brewery Arts Center in historic downtown Carson City. Members of the association, who are from Nevada and California, display art for sale including painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, glass and pottery in an airy, attractive and well-lighted space. There is an annual series of judged and non-judged shows that change approximately every six weeks. The artists who exhibit work in each show volunteer to staff the gallery, and there is an opportunity to meet and discuss the various works on display with the artists who created them.
