Opening in 1977 as the only course in town at the time, Eagle Valley Golf has become known as Carson City’s hometown golf course. The large municipal complex offers a full spectrum of services for golfers of all ages and abilities. With two 18-hole courses, lighted driving range, short game practice area, putting greens, pro shop and full-service clubhouse, golfers can enjoy every aspect of the game at one of the finest municipal facilities in the country.
The East Course is a wide-open, rambling expanse with relatively few elevation changes. It is an ideal course for beginners, juniors and many women. With subtle nuances on the greens and grip-it-and-rip-it yardage from the back tees, the East is also a fun challenge for intermediate and advanced players. Eagle Valley’s West Course is a championship layout that winds links-style around and through foothill terrain with panoramic views of Carson City and the eastern Sierra.
The West has an intriguing variety of holes that test all phases of the game. Good course management is essential to negotiating the elevation changes and narrow fairways rimmed by native sage brush that require strategic tee shot placement. Most players will use every club in the bag during their round.
Eagle Valley offers golf lessons by PGA professionals and a variety of player participation programs. Family and junior golf programs run throughout the season along with Men’s, Senior Men’s, Ladies’ and Couples Club tournaments and social events. Family and Individual membership plans are available in addition to the 50-Mile Club that offers special rates and benefits throughout the year for local golfers living within a 50-mile radius. Eagle Valley also specializes in tournaments and special events with indoor and outdoor banquet facilities and full bar and restaurant services.
