In the heart of Carson's historic downtown, Cactus Jack's is a quaint old-style gaming parlor. It features 130 gaming machines and one poker table. If you enter from the back alley near the closest parking, you're welcomed by a u-shaped bar and greetings from one of the friendly bartenders. The small Corner Cafe, a longtime local's favorite, serves up a variety of homestyle dishes and daily specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner from early morning til mid-evening. Originally known as just the Senator Club, the main entrance on the Carson Street side of the casino features an iconic neon marquee highlighted by a cartoon representation of an old-time senator. The casino became Cactus Jack's Senator Club when it was purchased and renamed by Nevada gaming pioneer Peter "Cactus Pete" Piersanti who was one of the main founders of Jackpot, Nevada. The club is now part of the Nugget Casinos family of 13 casinos in northern Nevada.
