Event Description:
The magic of Christmas begins this Friday at 5:30 pm when 500 fifth graders assemble on the Capitol steps to sing the favorite Christmas songs we all learned as children. The capitol grounds will be lit at 6 pm. Annually, the state buildings and grounds crew create magic that attracts Santa and The Grinch.
If you can’t make it Friday, be sure to wander the capitol grounds after dark until New Year’s to see how Carson City heralds in the holiday season. The entire city is lit by wonderful snowflakes and is quite the sight. Make it a family event and stay for dinner!
