Mark Twain Days - Twain Train VIP Rail Excursion
The Twain Train VIP Rail Excursion to Virginia City returns to the 2nd annual Mark Twain Days Festival. Departing the Eastgate Depot on Friday May 10 at 2:30, you’ll enjoy a different approach to this year’s Twain Train. On this epic 24 mile round trip, you'll enjoy specially curated snacks and a hand-crafted elixir from your souvenir glass created solely for the valiant, intrepid gadabout. Feel the vibrant power of the steam engine as breath taking views come into focus. Local musicians and storytellers will roam the cars along with your favorite Mark Twain Characters.
There will be a 3.5 hour window to explore Historic Virginia City before your return to the Capital City. Special exhibitions will be interspersed along with antique shops, mercantile, saloons, restaurants and specialty shops. You may even see wild horses or catch a glimpse of a ghost as you walk the streets Mark Twain once meandered.
