C-Hill Flag Retirement Volunteer Work Day
Volunteers sought to help dismantle the existing C-Hill Flag. Many hands will make this workday successful, and there is a job for every volunteer who wants one.
Most volunteer activities will take place on steep and uneven terrain, outside in the elements. Many panels have been damaged and have sharp edges & corners. Please dress for the weather, bring water, & bring heavy-duty work gloves if possible. The primary goal for this Volunteer Work Day is to remove each of the 390 total panels (each panel is 4' x 5'), transport the panels to the Public Works Corporate Yard and sort/secure the panels for storage.
Additional volunteer work day(s) will be scheduled if needed to complete disassembly of the flag. Engineering and structural repair work will take place over the winter and early spring 2026. Additional volunteer work day(s) are anticipated to be scheduled in May/June 2026 to replace the flag panels.
