Jones is highly regarded as an early trailblazer of Memphis soul and a living legend in the music industry.
Taking inspiration from his formative years in segregated Memphis, where he played local shows to support his family and big dreams, Jones fuses his musical talent with the tragedies and triumphs of Southern history and culture that resonates with audiences spanning multiple generations.

Not only does he hold a reputation of being an early prodigy of the Hammond B3 organ, as heard in the internationally recognized song “Green Onions,” but also Jones is an accomplished pianist, guitarist and saxophonist and plays variety of woodwind and percussion instruments.
At the age of 79, Booker T. Jones has gained many accolades during his career, including earning a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Musician’s Hall of Fame and winning four Grammy Awards, one of them a Lifetime Achievement Award (2007).
He has also collaborated with world-renowned artists and icons across multiple genres, including Elton John, Ray Charles, Lou Reed, Neil Young and Rancid.
