Event Description: 

Peter Mires, author of several books and more than fifty scholarly articles, book reviews, and op-ed pieces, will discuss his books, Lost Carson City and Lake Tahoe's Rustic Architecture, at the State Library and Archives February author event. Mires has a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University and taught at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and University of Delaware. He first came out west in 1990 and has been fascinated with the history of Carson City and Lake Tahoe ever since. Please join us for this event. Light refreshments will be served. Free to the public.
